Reporter – Editor – Producer

Human-centered stories with high impact, rich context and visual presentation are my passion.

I am a journalist and producer working across platforms, from news and politics to extensive experience in public health, science and environment, as well as music and culture.

As a national news senior editor, reporter and producer, I have published at the pace of breaking news, while maintaining platinum editorial and legal standards. I also love to dig in and find the bigger story through enterprise reporting and narrative work.

My writing, editing and production work has appeared online and broadcast at NBC News, ABC News, PBS, CBS News, NY Times Video, “TODAY,” Bill Moyers, “Good Morning America,” The A.V. Club, Paste Magazine, The Deli Magazine, “219 West,” and many more.

Building strong, collaborative teams and mentoring have always been priorities, on the job and in the classroom. I have taught college courses on feature writing, criticism and multimedia journalism (end-to-end video, audio and web production) and writing to high school students.

I hold a B.A. from Tulane University, an M.A. in Journalism from The City University of New York and I’m a member of IDA, IRE and an array of other groups. Community and continuous learning are vital to our arts!

After many (many) moons in NYC, I’m back in CA. I founded ArcHive Productions to focus on developing narrative stories at the heart of the human experience. Book a 15-minute consultation and/or story feedback meeting and feel free to send questions, tips – or light roast coffee!
